Get set for a frightfully fun half term at Braintree Village!

From Monday 26th to Saturday 31st October, bring your little monsters along for Halloween activities, spooky surprises and plenty of family fun.

Halloween trail

Think you can crack the secret code? Pick up a Halloween trail map from Guest Services and set off around the Village in search of eight hidden witch's hats. Write down the letter on each hat to reveal the secret word, then return your completed map to Guest Services to claim your trick or treat!

Spooky crafts

Little monsters can pick up a free Halloween craft pack from Guest Services for some spooky creativity during their visit.

When? 12pm–4pm, Monday 26th–Saturday 31st October

Little ones can enjoy a Halloween transformation with free face painting from Glow & Go, located next to Guest Services.

Saturday 31st October – Halloween!

Haunted Sweet Shop
Open 12pm – 4pm
Step into our magical Haunted Sweet Shop – with its wonky roof, glowing lanterns, oversized cobwebs and pumpkins, this enchanting little shop is full of spooky charm.

Be brave and knock on the door to discover who's hiding inside! A friendly witch or cheeky ghost will appear at the magical treat hatch, but there's a catch – you'll need to know the secret Halloween password or cast a magic spell to claim your treat. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden bats along the way, too! Find the Haunted Sweet Shop next to Nike.

Halloween performers
12pm – 4pm
Keep your eyes peeled as you explore the Village – you never know who (or what!) you might bump into! Look out for towering stilt walkers, a bendy contortionist and a magical Bubble Witch bringing Halloween fun to life throughout the afternoon.

Performances will take place at intervals between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday 31st October, so there's plenty of opportunity to catch the action.
