The ultimate foodie event is back at Braintree Village! Join us from Saturday 5th to Sunday 6th September for the Braintree Village Food Festival. Enjoy two days of delicious food and drink, music and relaxed vibes – and best of all entry is totally FREE. Rally the foodies in your family, bring your mates and load those plates... it's time to feast!
Expect a genuinely international street-food line-up across the weekend, with food spanning Korean, Mexican, Indian, Greek, Persian, Basque, BBQ, as well as classic festival comfort food and delicious desserts.

SMURKEY
What they’re serving:
Big, bold BBQ street food centred around slow-smoked turkey. Smurkey is known for its giant smoked turkey legs, pulled turkey, BBQ sandwiches and hearty sides including mac & cheese, finished with their signature rosemary and cranberry BBQ sauce.
SWEET N DELISH
What they’re serving:
A colourful dessert stop specialising in freshly prepared rolled ice cream, waffle pops, crepes and cookie dough. A great family-friendly sweet treat with plenty of indulgent toppings and combinations.
THE FISH TRUCK / KELL’S KITCHEN
What they’re serving:
Festival comfort food from a fully equipped mobile kitchen. Expect crowd-pleasing street food, with The Fish Truck particularly known for its award-winning fish burger alongside other freshly prepared festival favourites.
OH BABU
What they’re serving:
Award-winning Indian street food packed with flavour. Their menu includes handheld Indian flatbread rolls, Punjabi meal boxes and a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan options inspired by classic Indian flavours.
SIMPLY SOUVLAKI
What they’re serving:
Fresh Greek street food including chicken gyros, souvlaki, lamb kebabs and grilled halloumi, served in soft Greek-style pittas with salads, sauces and all the classic accompaniments.
GYROLAND
What they’re serving:
A full taste of Greece, with freshly cooked gyros, souvlaki and BBQ wraps and boxes alongside halloumi, Greek salads, hummus, feta and traditional sauces including tzatziki.
SAFFRON HILL FOOD
What they’re serving:
Authentic Persian and Middle Eastern street food with fragrant saffron flavours. Expect saffron chicken wraps and bowls alongside fresh vegan falafel options, bringing vibrant Middle Eastern flavours to the festival.
ROK KITCHEN
What they’re serving:
Award-winning Korean street food specialising in seriously crispy Korean fried chicken. Expect fried chicken burgers, wings, loaded fries and rice bowls with homemade sauces, slaw and Korean-inspired toppings.
LATIN ITALIAN
What they’re serving:
A Latin and Italian-inspired street food concept bringing together flavours from two of the world’s most popular cuisines.
NOPALITO
What they’re serving:
Authentic Mexican street food made using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients. Nopalito specialises in tacos, with fillings including birria, al pastor, tinga, mushrooms and nopalitos, alongside other Mexican favourites.
BASK STREET BOYS
What they’re serving:
Authentic Basque street food bringing the bold flavours of northern Spain to the festival. Expect Spanish tortilla, pintxos and other Basque-inspired dishes made using traditional flavours and ingredients.
